The holiday season is fast upon us. We are a couple of weeks away from Christmas.
You may be trying to finalize your holiday shopping or getting ready to travel to see your family.
Take a moment and reflect on 2016. Did you reach your fitness “Goal” this past year?
No, now is the time to turn the calendar to a blank slate for 2017 and create a plan for the next 12 months.
Now is the time for new directions and new goals!
Maybe the same dreams, but you will MAKE IT HAPPEN this year!
In order to reach your potential for 2017 and not fall into the masses that fall short of their annual fitness goals by the end of February, you must establish your basic goal.
The goal should not be based on what you think you should want, BUT on WHAT YOU TRULY WANT!
Don’t deny yourself what you truly want because you don’t think it is achievable.
Change your mindset to the fact that you ACTUALLY BELIEVE you can reach your goals.
Keep your goal basic and attainable.
An attainable goal (if you actually believe you want and can reach it) is to lose 2 lbs a week, run a 5K by the end of March, or run an obstacle race by the end of May. Your personal goal could be to run both this year.
Take time to yourself and really focus on WHAT YOU TRULY WANT!
To really help you focus on what you want, you must ask yourself on question, WHY DO I WANT IT?
“Father God, it is by Your grace we have been saved, and through our faith – this is not from ourselves, but a gift from you – not by our works.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
